Job description

Purpose of the Position

  • To achieve targeted sales levels by converting new profitable business opportunities.
  • To maintain and develop existing business to maximise retention and profitability.
  • To support the local branch teams and provide a high quality customer caring service.

    Role Requirements

  • To have a good understanding of Vehicle Contract Hire, Leasing and Rental.
  • To have a good understanding of LCV products and specifications.
  • An ability to build strong relationships and negotiate effectively.
  • To be able to deliver professional presentations.
  • To be able to work well under pressure, managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • To be able to empathise with clients and effectively resolve queries.
  • To be competent working through a complete sales process from prospecting through to closing.
  • To drive Company vehicles with care and obey all traffic regulations.
  • To comply with all company rules and procedures.

    Main Tasks

  • To create and utilise a strategic new business prospecting plan for a defined territory.
  • To manage and report on an accurate opportunities pipeline.
  • To manage and report on risks to existing business.
  • To research business sectors within a defined territory and identify key vehicle hire opportunities.
  • To deliver on forecasted conversions.
  • To negotiate rates and terms within predefined parameters ensuring company profitability.
  • To sell on value and service through a good understanding of the market and products to maximise profitability.
  • Meet and exceed monthly-targeted sales quotas.
  • To achieve customer business retention to the agreed plan.
  • To provide regular reports and updates to the UK Sales Manager.
  • To build close working relationships with the local branch and other relevant members.
  • To take ownership of any customer contact and deal with customer queries quickly and effectively.
  • To demonstrate a customer care focus at all times.
  • To communicate with customers and colleagues in a professional and timely manner.
  • To maintain high levels of accuracy in all administration.
  • Other work related duties as assigned by the UK Sales Manager.
